Bowling for Buddies
This year, the YWCA of Alexandria-Pineville is celebrating the 36th anniversary of its YW-Buddies Mentoring Program, which has matched—at no cost to participants—nearly 2,500 Central Louisiana children with volunteer mentors who provide homework assistance, shared interests, and encouragement. We kindly request your support of this vital program, so that new generations can benefit from greater student performance, improved self-esteem and interpersonal skills, and healthier lifestyle choices. The YWCA has seen, first-hand, these and other successes through YW-Buddies.
How can you help?
Bowling for Buddies is the only fundraiser the YWCA holds to support YW-Buddies, and sponsorships are what drive this program’s sustainability. It is a fun event for individuals, families, and organizations seeking a team-building opportunity for a worthy cause. Sponsorship opportunities are listed below.

1. Form your team and SADDLE UP! Form a 5-person team today and call the YWCA to register at 318.442.3397! Friends, family, coworkers-anyone can join your team!
2. FUNDRAISE! Call to register and we will create an online fundraising team just for you! Share the webpage to ask for donations via social media or collect in person. Before you know it, you’ll be a rootin’ tootin’ FUNdraiser! Individual goal: $50, Team goal: $250
3. HO’ DOWN! All that fundraisin’ work wasn’t for nothin’! Go above and beyond your fundraising goal and WIN BIG! Prizes are based on the highest level achieved and awarded after the event concludes.

Raise $500 – Dinner for two at Texas Roadhouse
Raise $1,000 – $100 Walmart gift card -or- 4-weeks of YWCA Summer Day Camp
Grand prize – $500 Target gift card -or- 11-weeks of YWCA Summer Day Camp (must raise over $2,500)
